The role of Customer Consultant includes engaging in conversations to find out our customers’ needs, providing information about our full savings range, products, and services. By really listening and getting to know our customers, you will help them review their circumstances and goals, while providing a straightforward, helpful service that lets your enthusiasm and professionalism shine.

Our branches are the heart of our local communities. Increasingly, our customers want the flexibility of doing transactions online and engaging via our contact centre. In-branch, we support customers face-to-face, virtually, and through outbound contact, reaching customers at relevant times. Whether promoting a new product or resolving a problem, you will always place our customers’ needs at the core and deliver first-class service every time.

What Will You Be Doing As A Customer Consultant?

1. Be the First Point of Contact: Welcome customers in-branch and over the phone, making a positive first impression.

2. Engage and Understand: Ask insightful questions to uncover and understand customer needs, providing tailored solutions.

3. Listen and Tailor Solutions: Offer personalized solutions based on each customer’s circumstances.

4. Proactive Outreach: Reach out to customers by phone to identify needs and discuss support options.

5. Maintain Accurate Records: Use internal systems to keep customer records up-to-date, with special attention to vulnerable customers.

6. Adhere to Policies: Follow policies, standards, and controls, supported by training and coaching.

What Do We Need From You?

* Previous experience interacting with customers. Experience in banking, building society, retail, food & beverage, guest services, or health/care sectors is valued. A passion for delivering exceptional service is essential.

* The ability to work well with others, demonstrating a ‘one-team’ mindset.

* Ability to handle busy days and manage a variety of customers with excellent time management.

* Desire and ability to grow, adapt, and change with business needs.

What Is In It For You?

The role is a Fixed Term Contract of 12 months, working 30 hours per week across Monday to Saturday. Exact hours to be discussed at interview.

The salary is up to £24,000 per annum, pro-rated to £19,999.20 based on 30 hours per week.
