The Role
This is an exciting and strategic role at the forefront of Mastercall Healthcare’s digital transformation. The AI Solutions Programme Lead will be instrumental in delivering our organisation-wide AI programme, which represents the beginning of our formal journey into responsible, people-centred AI adoption.
The successful candidate will lead the design, implementation, and scaling of AI solutions that enhance clinical operations, reduce administrative burden, and support improved decision-making across services. In parallel, the role will contribute to the development of a high-performing Project Management Office (PMO) and provide mentoring and guidance to Junior Project Managers.
This is a unique opportunity to shape how AI is used in urgent and primary care settings at Mastercall, working alongside clinical, operational, and digital leaders to embed innovation that has a lasting, real-world impact.
The role offers both programme influence and hands-on delivery, making it ideal for an experienced programme leader who is passionate about AI, developing talent, transformation, and healthcare excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management
* Lead the full lifecycle of our AI Programme, including planning, design, prototyping, integration, and optimisation phases.
* Develop and manage detailed programme plans, timelines, milestones, and reporting documentation.
* Coordinate delivery across clinical, operational, and technology teams.
Stakeholder Engagement
* Act as the primary interface between the transformation programme and internal/external stakeholders.
* Facilitate workshops, briefings, and working groups to support inclusive delivery and adoption.
* Promote effective communication and stakeholder alignment throughout all project phases.
AI Integration & Governance
* Ensure all AI implementation aligns with Mastercall AI Policy, data protection (GDPR) standards, and ethical guidelines.
* Support secure, compliant use of platforms.
* Work with Information Governance to assess and manage risks related to data handling and AI usage.
PMO Development
* Contribute to the structure, processes, and governance model of the Project Management Office.
* Support implementation of standardised templates, reporting frameworks, and delivery practices.
* Assist in tracking project performance and assurance across the portfolio.
Mentoring & Team Development
* Provide management and day-to-day support to Junior Project Managers.
* Develop onboarding, guidance materials, and training plans to build project management skills within the team.
* Promote knowledge sharing and collaborative learning.
Operational Enablement
* Oversee integration of AI tools into operational workflows to improve service delivery.
* Work with clinical and operations teams to ensure fit-for-purpose deployment of AI capabilities.
* Monitor and support adoption across departments, including training and support mechanisms.
Monitoring & Reporting
* Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for Project Nexus.
* Produce regular progress reports and updates for senior leadership.
* Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Experience/Skills Required
* The successful candidate should demonstrate:
* Proven experience leading medium-large digital or AI-enabled transformation
* Experience managing multi-phase programmes
* The ability to work with clinical, technical and operational leads
* Understanding of GDPR, data governance and risk management
* Experience in supporting and developing junior team members
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Familiarity with modern digital tools and platforms
It would be desirable if the successful candidate could demonstrate:
* Certification in project or programme management (PRINCE2, AgilePM)
* Experience with AI platforms and health platforms and an understanding of system interoperability
* Understanding of NHS structures and digital policy
* Experience of contributing to or establishing a Project Management Office
