We are looking for a dynamic individual to help us continue to deliver a high performing Health and Safety Service, which can evolve and develop to meet the future needs of the Council.
What will you be doing?
You will be part of a team of highly competent Health & Safety professionals who respond to the Council’s existing and emerging health & safety risks.
In practice, this will include:
* Carrying out workplace audits and inspections
* Investigating incidents and documenting and reporting accidents, hazardous events, and near misses
* Offering expert health and safety guidance to managers
* Delivering health and safety training tailored to the needs of service areas
You will also support the delivery of health and safety services to Tees Active, the company that operates the Borough’s leisure centres, schools and academies.

What do you need?
You’ll be an experienced Health & Safety professional who is registered with IOSH and holds a relevant qualification. You will also be confident writing clear and concise reports, using databases and possess excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
