Role: Deputy Manager
Location: Marydale Lodge, St Helens
Salary: From £43,305.41
Hours: Contract is 39 Hours Per Week
We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join us as a Deputy Manager at Marydale, our Secure Unit. In this role, you will play a key part in the day‑to‑day running of the service, helping to create a positive and supportive environment for both staff and young people.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Manager with day‑to‑day operations
Lead, motivate and supervise staff
Contribute to service development and decision‑making
Maintain records, reports and administrative tasks
Ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards
Act as a positive role model, promoting a supportive environment
Respond effectively in crises and solve problems confidently
Experience & Skills of a Deputy Manager
We are looking for someone who can:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willing to work towards)
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Experience supporting vulnerable and traumatised young people
Knowledge of child development, trauma and attachment
Ability to set boundaries and manage challenging situations
