We are looking for an experienced and organisedMedicalSecretaryto join our friendly and supportive team at Elm Tree Surgery. This is a part time position for 20hours per week, working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday .
The successful candidate will play an important role inproviding high-quality medical secretarial and administrative support to ourGPs and clinical staff, ensuring the smooth running of day-to-day operationswithin the practice.
Main duties of the job
* Provide comprehensive secretarial support to the clinical team, including typing and processing of referrals, reports, and correspondence.
* Manage incoming and outgoing communications efficiently, including hospital letters, emails, and telephone calls.
* Liaise with hospitals, community services, and patients to ensure timely information flow.
* Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in line with practice and NHS policies.
* Assist with workflow management and support the administrative team when required.

* Good general education GCSE English and Maths or equivalent

* Previous experience working in a Primary Care or GP Practice setting

* Strong understanding of medical terminology
