HR Specialist
Location: Birmingham - Full-Time
We are looking for a skilled and proactive HR Specialist to join our team in Birmingham. This role plays a key part in ensuring the effective delivery of HR services by acting as the main point of contact between the business and our offshore HR service provider.
As a subject matter expert in retained HR services, you will be responsible for managing escalations, reviewing service performance, and driving continuous improvement. You will also support the delivery of HR projects, ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and contribute to the development of efficient HR processes.
This position requires strong stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams. Occasional travel to India may be required to support offshore operations and training.
What are the main responsibilities?
You Will Act As The Primary Liaison For Offshore HR Service Delivery, Managing Escalations And Ensuring Service Levels Meet Business Expectations Whilst Working On The Delivery Of HR Projects Company Wide. You Will Also
* Conduct root cause analysis on service issues and oversee the implementation of corrective actions.
* Support HR audits and compliance checks, ensuring documentation and processes meet required standards.
* Deliver training and guidance to line managers and offshore teams on HR systems, processes, and best practices.
* Monitor data quality, onboarding compliance, and statutory requirements across key risk areas.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to support HR initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of shared services.
What are we looking for?
We Are Looking For An Individual With Strong Knowledge Of HR Practices And Experience In a Shared Services Or Outsourced Environment With Proven Ability To Work In a Multi-functional Team. You Will Also Have
* Proven ability to manage complex queries and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced setting.
* Experience in stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships.
* Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as LEAN (preferred).
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
* High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
