A leading, award‑winning building services consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Associate Engineer to join their established London office. Your new role
As an Electrical Associate, you will take a leadership role within the electrical team, managing project delivery, overseeing design quality, and acting as a key technical authority across a diverse portfolio. You’ll work closely with Directors, clients, architects, and wider MEP teams to deliver innovative, sustainable electrical solutions from concept through to handover.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Leading electrical building services design across large‑scalemercial, residential, mixed‑use, and mission‑critical projects
2. Managing project teams and providing technical oversight, guidance, and mentoring
3. Reviewing and signing off designs, calculations, and technical documentation
4. Acting as a key client liaison, attending design meetings and representing the practice at senior level
5. Contributing to bids, fee proposals, resource planning, and internal development
6. Supporting digital engineering workflows, including BIM/Revit integration
7. Driving continuous improvement, best practice, and innovation within the team
What you'll need to succeed
8. Extensive experience within electrical building services engineering, ideally operating at Senior/Principal/Associate level
9. Strong technical capability across LV distribution, lighting, life‑safety systems, power, and control systems
10. Proven experience delivering multi‑sector projects through all RIBA stages
11. Ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and oversee project performance
12. Strong understanding of UK standards, regulations, and industry guidance (CIBSE, BS7671, etc.)
13. Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership is highly desirable
14. Excellentmunication, leadership, and project‑management skills
