An opportunity has arisen within Cellular Pathology for a Biomedical Support Worker. The is an excellent opportunity to join and be part of a large, busy team, delivering diagnostic reports to clinicians and other service users within Swansea Bay Health Board.
Main duties of the job
Applications are invited from enthusiastic and well-motivated individuals for the post of Biomedical Support Worker. The post holder will work as part of a team delivering support services for clinical and scientific staff within Cellular Pathology.
There are various Hospital sites within SBUHB, but this post is primarily for our Singleton site.
Duties will include receipt and registration of patient samples, prior to processing, assisting in the allocation of specimens to consultants and other general administrative duties including filing and retrieval of samples and maintenance of databases and filing systems.
Data entry experience is desirable for this role, keyboard skills essential.

Essential criteria
1. Educated to vocational level 2 in a relevant subject or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge, skills and experience.
2. Knowledge of Data Protection
3. Knowledge of a range of work procedures
