Protocol Education is seeking passionate and experienced professionals to work in pastoral roles within schools across the North East. With high demand for safeguarding, attendance, and head of year positions, now is the perfect time to bring your skills into the education sector.

About the Roles:
We are looking for former social workers to take on temporary pastoral positions in schools—many of which have the potential to become permanent. Your expertise in safeguarding, student welfare, and family support will play a crucial role in improving student outcomes and creating a safe, supportive school environment.

Available Positions Include:

1. Safeguarding Leads – ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
2. Attendance Officers – working closely with students and families to improve attendance and engagement.
3. Heads of Year – providing pastoral care, supporting behaviour management, and fostering a positive school culture.

Why Work in Schools?

1. Transferable Skills – Apply your social work expertise to support young people and their families.
2. Work-Life Balance – Enjoy school holidays and more structured working hours.
3. Career Progression – Many temporary roles lead to permanent positions, with ongoing professional development opportunities.
4. Make a Difference – Play a key role in shaping young lives and fostering positive change in your community.

Why Choose Protocol Education?

1. Dedicated Support – Our team will guide you through every step of your transition into education.
2. Flexible Opportunities – Choose from short-term, long-term, and temp-to-perm roles to suit your lifestyle.
3. Local Placements – We work with a wide range of schools across the North East, ensuring placements close to home.

Who We’re Looking For:

1. Qualified or experienced social workers looking to transition into education.
2. Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and working with vulnerable children.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. A commitment to supporting the well-being and success of young people.

Ready to Make the Move?
If you’re a former social worker eager to bring your skills into the education sector, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today with your CV, and a member of our team will be in touch to discuss how we can support your journey into pastoral roles in schools.
