What the role looks like as a Support Assistant
Every day will bring something slightly different. Some lessons will need you to help pupils stay focused, others will involve guiding small groups or offering reassurance to someone who’s finding school overwhelming.
You won’t be expected to plan lessons, but you will be a steady, reliable support for both staff and pupils.
Daily responsibilities as a Support Assistant
* Providing learning support across a range of subjects
* Helping pupils understand tasks and complete their work
* Supporting behaviour expectations and routines
* Preparing simple resources and helping with classroom organisation
* Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams
What you’ll bring as a Support Assistant
* Experience with children or young people
* Strong communication and a calm, positive attitude
* Patience in busy or challenging moments
* Willingness to work flexibly across subjects
* An enhanced DBS, or readiness to apply

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
