We are pleased to be working with an excellent SME located in Bury, who are looking for a senior accounts clerk to join the finance team on a full time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 5 years + experience to step into a hands on finance role, working closely with the financial controller within the company.
The finance team is small and made up of 2 staff members, but has a very good office environment as you will be sitting closely with other departments.
Duties include:
* Bank and accounts reconciliations
* Weekly and monthly payroll (approx 80 on the payroll)
* Dealing with SMP/SPP/SSP
* Processing time sheets for subcontractors
* Weekly payment runs and BACS payments
* Processing purchase invoices and matching and coding
* Credit card reconciliations
* VAT returns (training provided)
* CIS returns and sub contractor ledgers
* Other adhoc
Skills:
* Strong IT knowledge including MS Excel skills
* SAGE accounting software would be an advantage
