Job Title: Voids Officer (DLO) Location: Field Based Salary: £51,400 per annum Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday Are you a highly organised and proactive professional with experience managing large trade teams? We are recruiting a Voids Officer (DLO) to join a leading housing maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality void refurbishment programme, overseeing a large in house trade team of 16, and ensuring that all void properties are refurbished efficiently, safely, and to an exceptional standard. Key Responsibilities: * Manage and lead the DLO voids team, ensuring high performance and adherence to budgets. * Conduct full surveys of empty and tenanted properties, specifying, authorising, and monitoring works to completion. * Carry out pre- and post-inspections, ensuring health and safety compliance across all works. * Resolve complaints and customer dissatisfaction with tact and professionalism. * Collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the voids service. * Manage contractors when required, ensuring works meet quality and safety standards. * Maintain up to date knowledge of housing legislation, regulations, and best practice. What We’re Looking For: * Experience managing voids or repairs teams to a high standard of customer satisfaction. * Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and budgets effectively. * Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem solving abilities. * Relevant professional qualifications (HND in Building Surveying/Construction or similar; CIOB/RICS or NEBOSH desirable). * Full UK driving license with business-use insurance.
