Ash Meadow is an independent special school based in Sutton Manor,
St Helens. Our aim is to provide a child-centred and individualised education for students with autism, learning disabilities and complex needs, in a calm and safe environment. The school recently opened an additional campus, which can accommodate an extra 60 children across a vibrant and well resourced learning environment.
Due to the expansion of the school, an amazing opportunity has arisen to join the team. Ash Meadow is seeking to appoint an experienced, ambitious and dynamic Deputy Headteacher, who will work in collaboration with our existing leadership team to support the schools drive towards excellence in education.
The chosen candidate must have experience in leadership, demonstrate commitment to high standards and be passionate about teaching and learning, as this is at the heart of everything we do.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will play a critical role in shaping the strategic and operational development of the school in a proactive approach, work alongside current leaders to monitor behaviour, inclusion, attendance and safeguarding. You will be joining a dynamic and values-driven leadership team committed to transforming the lives of students we support.
We are looking for:
* A leader with substantial experience as an excellent classroom practitioner and can support our teaching team to have the same standards
* Highly motivated energetic, enthusiastic and resilient leader, with relentlessly high expectations of themselves and others
* A leader who can work effectively under pressure, to prioritise appropriately and meet deadlines of a demanding leadership position
* A leader with the knowledge, skills and ability to secure excellent teaching based on an analytical understanding of how students learn.
* A strategic thinker, able to work towards development goals, including curriculum development, inclusion, raising aspirations, outstanding teaching and learning, expert use of technology and research-based practice
