Job Summary
We seek a skilled Network Engineer with at least 5 years of experience. The candidate should have a strong understanding of network Layer 2, 3, and 4 protocols, wireless protocols, and experience in designing and maintaining network infrastructure. A CCNA certification (or higher) obtained within the last 5 years is required. Knowledge of SD-WAN and SASE is highly desirable. This is a remote role with occasional travel, requiring a full UK driving license.
The role involves working hours from 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM (GMT/BST), Monday to Friday, and participation in an on-call rota (1 week every 5 weeks).
Responsibilities
* Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure for high availability and security.
* Troubleshoot and resolve network issues across layers and platforms.
* Support and maintain cloud WAF.
* Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and patches.
* Collaborate with IT teams for seamless integration.
* Implement Meraki, Ubiquiti, and SASE solutions.
* Support incident resolution and maintain documentation.
* Travel for on-site support as needed.
* Stay updated with emerging technologies.
Qualifications
* Minimum 5 years in network engineering.
* Experience with Ethernet, IP, TCP/IP, BGP, wireless protocols.
* Current CCNA or similar certification.
* Understanding of SD-WAN and SASE.
* Experience with Cisco Meraki hardware.
* Proficiency in network device configuration and troubleshooting.
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.
* Full UK driving license.
Preferred Qualifications
* Additional certifications like CCNP, JNCIA.
* Experience with cloud networking, automation, security solutions.
* Experience with Ubiquiti solutions.
* Knowledge of network monitoring tools.
