Community Manager

Dex is building the future of hiring with AI, helping world-class software engineers find the roles they deserve. We're hiring a Community Manager to work with our users to build a real community – a place to learn, network and access the very best opportunities in tech.

You'll be the front face of Dex across IRL events, LinkedIn and Reddit, working closely with our founders to build a trusted, high-signal community for engineers.


What you'll do

* Own Dex's community strategy for senior engineers across events, LinkedIn and Reddit – from idea to execution.

* Design and run regular community touchpoints: meetups, online events, AMAs, roundtables, content drops and more.

* Manage our outbound and organic communications across social channels, ensuring a consistent, authentic Dex voice.

* Turn high-potential candidates into an engaged, long-term community: drive conversations, connections and knowledge sharing.

* Partner with marketing to develop content (posts, threads, newsletters, spotlights) that genuinely adds value for engineers.

* Moderate and grow our Reddit presence, helping engineers discover Dex, share experiences and surface opportunities.

* Work closely with the founders to represent Dex externally – speaking with candidates, hosts, partners and event organisers.

* Collect insights from the community and feed them back into product, marketing and operations.


Who you are

* Background as a software engineer or a track record working closely with software engineers.

* Deep empathy for engineers – you understand what they value, how they like to engage and what feels authentic vs. salesy.

* 3+ years in community, talent or marketing, ideally in a fast-growth or startup environment.

* Comfortable being a visible, trusted "face" of the brand across social channels and at events.

* Strong communicator and storyteller, especially in writing (LinkedIn, Reddit, email, event copy).

* Hands-on operator: you're happy to plan, invite, host, post, moderate and follow up yourself.

* Organised and reliable, able to juggle multiple threads (events, campaigns, conversations) without dropping the ball.

* Curious, experimental mindset – you enjoy testing new formats, tracking what works and iterating quickly.
