Our client, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security industry, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their permanent team. This role involves managing and optimising the IT infrastructure to support the critical operations within the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Designing, implementing, and managing IT infrastructure solutions
* Ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems
* Conducting regular system performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimisation
* Providing technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders
* Implementing security measures and compliance policies for IT systems
* Leading infrastructure projects from conception through to completion
* Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting issues as they arise
* Documenting infrastructure changes and maintaining up-to-date technical documentation
Job Requirements
* Extensive experience in IT infrastructure within the Defence & Security sector
* Strong understanding of network and server hardware, software, and virtualisation
* Proficiency in system and network administration, including backup and recovery processes
* Experience with infrastructure security and compliance best practices
* Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
* Excellent communication skills and capability to collaborate effectively
* Relevant technical qualifications in IT or a related discipline
