Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Purchasing and Planning Manager to join their team based in Hailsham. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, driving performance and accountability
* Oversee production planning, purchasing, and scheduling functions
* Ensure on‑time delivery targets are met for both customers and suppliers
* Develop and implement scalable processes to support business growth
* Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
* Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Sales teams
* Contribute to strategic decision‑making with operational and commercial insight
* Travel to client meetings (occasional)
Skills, Experience, and Requirements
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in purchasing and planning within a low volume, high complexity manufacturing environment
* At least 5 years in a leadership or management role
* Strong track record in production planning and procurement
* Excellent organisational, communication, and decision‑making skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
* Experience with advanced manufacturing technologies
* Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies
* Degree educated or qualified by experience
