Systems Developer Swindon £50,000 - £60,000 DOE + Holidays + Pension + Progression + More Excellent opportunity for a Systems Developer to join a well-established and growing civil engineering business, supporting and enhancing critical business systems that drive operational efficiency across the organisation.This company has over 40 years of success delivering groundworks and civil engineering services, with a strong reputation for quality and innovation. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to expand their ICT function with an experienced and proactive Systems Developer.In this role, you will work closely with management and key stakeholders to develop, maintain, and improve business systems. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of system development, from gathering requirements and designing solutions to implementation and user training. You will also act as a technical escalation point while driving continuous improvement across systems and processes.The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft technologies, including Power Platform and .NET development. You will be confident working with stakeholders, delivering technical solutions, and supporting business-critical systems. A proactive mindset, strong organisation, and a passion for improving systems are essential. Experience with Power BI or legacy Microsoft technologies is a bonus. The Role:- Work closely with stakeholders to maintain and improve business systems - Gather requirements and design technical solutions to business challenges - Develop and implement solutions across a range of technologies - Act as a technical escalation point for system-related issues - Deliver training on new and updated systems - Manage third-party providers for support and project delivery - Maintain accurate system documentation and knowledge base - Drive continuous improvement and stay up to date with new technologies The Person:- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, SharePoint) - Strong development skills in C#, ASP.NET, and Entity Framework - Experience working with SQL Server - Proven ability to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions - Strong stakeholder communication skills - Organised and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset - Desirable experience with VB.NET, VBA, or Power BI
