Job Overview Four Hills Education Trust is seeking a dedicated and highly organised Finance & Operations Manager to join our central team. This permanent, full-time role is pivotal in ensuring the robust financial health and operational efficiency of our Trust, providing direct support to the CEO and CFO. Role Overview As the Finance & Operations Manager, you will deliver high-quality financial administration and operational coordination across the Trust. You will play a key role in maintaining exemplary governance, ensuring all financial activities—from BACS payments, monthly management accounts to large-scale procurement projects in compliance with the Academy Trust Handbook and Trust policies. Key Responsibilities Financial Management: Prepare consolidated management accounts, cash flow forecasts, and coordinate the annual budget cycle with school business managers. Procurement & Value for Money: Uphold the Trust’s procurement policy, manage the contract register, and ensure all local and central purchasing meets legislative standards and delivers value. Supplier & Risk Management: Oversee supplier set-up with rigorous fraud prevention controls and maintain the Trust’s Risk Register. Executive & Governance Support: Manage the diaries and correspondence for the CEO/CFO and coordinate papers and action logs for the Finance & Resources Committee. Trust Infrastructure: Support the coordination of estates, ICT, and trust-wide projects like new system transitions. For full details please refer to the Job Description attached. The Ideal Candidate We are looking for a proactive professional with: Qualifications: AAT Level 4 (or equivalent) is desirable, or a School Business Management qualification. Experience: Proven experience in school finance operations, including budgeting, audit readiness, and using financial systems like Access. Skills: Advanced Excel skills, excellent written communication, and the ability to handle sensitive information with complete discretion. Mindset: A solutions-focused individual committed to continuous improvement and the welfare of children.
