Who are we?
Kibble is Scotland’s specialist provider of services for at risk children and young people. By providing a range of integrated services, we help build positive futures for children and young people aged 5 plus, with complex social, emotional, and educational needs.
Kibble are looking to recruit an experienced teacher (primary), to work in our school in Glasgow & Lochwinnoch. Successful candidates will be registered or eligible for registration with the GTC (Scotland) and keen to gain experience of working with children and young people with additional support needs.

Appointment will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory PVG Disclosure check and references. All appointments will be subject to a twelve-month probationary period.
We would welcome applications from Practitioners with knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and Scotland’s National Improvement Framework to engage and enthuse often reluctant learners.
Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate should –
· be registered or eligible for registration with the GTC (Scotland)
· have a recognised teaching qualification specific to Primary Education.
· demonstrate a clear commitment to continuing professional development. For example, by studying towards a qualification in or relating to Additional Support Needs.
· have excellent communication skills.
· motivate, encourage and support others.
· make effective use of time, personnel and resources.
· show aptitude for decision making and acting on initiative.

3. The successful candidate will be subject to PVG Scheme Membership. Having previous convictions will not automatically disbar you from working at Kibble (with the exception of offences against children or other vulnerable groups) and every case is taken on an individual basis.
4. The successful candidate will be required to undertake Safe Crisis Management (SCM) training and will require a level of fitness to be able to carry out SCM. The successful candidate must be able to participate fully in this training and be prepared to put this training into practice.
The SCM training will consist of two days theory and two days physical training. The successful candidate must complete this training in full within four weeks of an agreed start date. Should the candidate for any reason fail any aspect of the SCM training (theory, physical or both parts), an additional two weeks will be given to pass.
