This Machine Grinder position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. In this role, you will be responsible for grinding aircraft components to precision limits in accordance with company procedures.
Overview
Role: Machine Grinder
Responsibilities
* To operate all types of grinding machines to fine limits.
* To be able to work unsupervised/minimal supervision.
* To be able to read and understand technical drawings.
* To be able to work with cylindrical and surface grinding machines.
* Maintain awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company\'s environmental procedures.
* Maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
* May be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to qualifications and experience.
Skills and Experience
* Extensive experience working with internal and external grinding machines. Knowledge of both is essential.
* Aerospace background not essential but would be preferred.
* Experience with cylindrical and surface grinding machines.
* Knowledge of CNC grinding preferable.
