About the role
A welcoming and inclusive school in Chippenham is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Partner to join their supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within a dynamic school environment, supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom.
As a Teaching Partner, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to help deliver engaging lessons, support pupil progress, and contribute to a positive learning environment. The role may include working with individuals or small groups of pupils, including those who may require additional support, helping to ensure all learners can access the curriculum effectively.
Key responsibilities
* Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
* Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
* Working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis when required
* Encouraging pupil engagement, confidence, and participation
* Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
* Collaborating with teachers and wider school staff
Ideal candidate
* Positive, proactive, and adaptable
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine interest in education and supporting young people
* Able to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
* Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential)
* Background in education, care, youth work or similar (beneficial)
