The Role
Our client, a top global organization, is seeking an experienced SAP FI Consultant to join a large-scale S/4HANA Transformation Programme within a complex finance environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP FI, financial process design, and data reconciliation — supporting the full lifecycle from design and build through to testing, cutover, and go-live/hypercare. This role involves close collaboration with finance, data, and technical teams to ensure smooth delivery of core finance capabilities across key areas such as Fixed Assets, Intercompany, WBS/Capital Projects, and Chart of Accounts configuration.
Key Responsibilities
* Liaise with process analysts and SMEs to identify and resolve design and build gaps.
* Provide input and guidance on data conversion, reporting remediation, cutover, and deployment planning.
* Define and manage mass creation of WBS elements to support transition to internal orders.
* Support intercompany processes, including balance clearing and journal adjustments at cutover.
* Oversee Fixed Assets loading, ledger initiation, and technical configuration.
* Configure Chart of Accounts attributes and support COA harmonization.
* Support business teams during UAT, providing execution guidance and issue resolution.
* Document and validate process-level operational usage, ensuring defects and gaps are resolved.
* 10–12 years of experience in SAP FI with a focus on S/4HANA transformation projects.
* Deep technical knowledge of SAP FI, including data reconciliation and ledger configuration.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting, US GAAP, and statutory compliance.
* Experience in cutover planning, data migration, and system readiness.
* Ability to identify process issues, challenge assumptions, and propose practical solutions.
* Strong communication skills — able to explain complex financial and technical concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
* Experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., US SOX controls).
* Proven ability to collaborate across multi-functional and multi-cultural teams.
* Experience in Cognos or similar reporting tools.
* Prior experience leading or mentoring junior team members.
