About you
TheJoules Merchandise Manager role is a new position within the Joules’ structure. The role is integral in supporting the growth and efficiency of the Merchandising Department alongside being part of the exciting trajectory of our evolving multi channel brand. Reporting into the Head of Merchandising, you will be managing the Merchandising Department across the mainline areas of the business which covers Womenswear, Menswear, Accessories, Footwear and Childrenswear. You will be working closely with the Buying Manager driving alignment and clarity across the Merchandising function with key stakeholders.
You will be leading and inspiring the Merchandising Team; through rigorous in season trading with a lens on sourcing, pricing and budget balancing.
Pre-season planning across multiple seasons at a time is an integral part of the role focusing on sales budgets, option frameworks and margins.
A key part of the Merchandising Team’s role is managing stock alongside our Wholesale and Partnership Departments which sits outside of the Joules retail channels. There is a requirement to clearly understand how they operate and the importance of the Merchandising Team within their planning process.
Role & Accountabilities:
* Build and maintain a robust budget and option framework which balances newness and innovation, continuity and core lines across all categories.
* Support the Merchandising Team to make timely decisions on efficient stock management across multi channels responding to trading reactions.
* Stock management from line level detail up to department is key, ensuring we are optimising our stock through the season. This relates to pre and in season planning and includes a focus on key volume and core lines which form the structure of our ranges.
* Support the Merch and Buying Teams in curating a store grading structure that plays into the store estates opportunities through key seasonal periods.
* Work collaboratively with the Buying Manager to lead the product teams to be buying and planning effectively using a robust sourcing strategy, identifying risks and opportunities in current and new territories reviewing capacity planning requirements and ensuring you are prioritising core volume lines within the strategy.
* Alignment with the Operational Board on key strategic pillars ensuring you are prioritising yours and the team's time to meet expectations.
* Establish and strengthen relationships across all key stakeholders which include Merch Ops, Finance, Marketing, Partnerships, Retail, Product Operations and the Ecommerce Team.
* Deputise for the Head of Merchandising, when necessary.

Where will you be working?
This is a full time, onsite role based at ‘The Barn’ - this is Joules’ purpose built Head Office in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
We value your dedication and understand the importance of balance. This role is office based and typically requires 5 days a week working onsite, as we believe this is where we make the best decisions together. We do offer discretionary flexibility to support your needs and help you navigate life's demands as and when your work allows.
