Role Overview
The role of a Crew Resources Assistant will include providing support to the Fleet Management Department in the form of absence management and appraisal management. You will work closely and collaboratively with the Crew Resources Officers and will be responsible for providing support and cover.
Principal Accountabilities
* Absence management including ensuring absence is appropriately recorded within the HR System
* Conduct regular welfare calls with absent employees as a duty of care in line with the Absence Policy
* Support line managers with the scheduling and minute taking of welfare meetings
* Ensure absent employees are complying with the Absence Policy and take appropriate action as per the HRBP's advice when not
* Ensure RTW and ARMs are completed in line with SLA's and where appropriate highlight non-conformities
* Refer employees to Occupational Health and Physio (with their consent) and obtain further medical information if necessary to support in both absence management and prevention
* Refer employees to the Employee Assistance Programme (with their consent)
* Write to employees confirming the status of their sick pay
* Attend absence meetings and run through live absence cases whilst taking note of any updates and actions
* Appraisal management including logging and filing of completed appraisals
* Reporting appraisal completion rates
* Regularly meet with the Crew Resources Officers and Fleet Teams to provide an update on expected return to work dates for absence employees and appraisal information
* Assist the Crew Resources Officers in a variety of tasks including the deployment of crew to vessels, arranging cover, arranging accommodation, dry dock arrangements, processing call back and recording annual leave
* Raise POs as required for costs incurred by the department
Monitor crew training & certification, highlighting areas of non-compliance
* Reporting and KPI activities as required
* Assist managers with crew interviews
* Any other duties as required to support with the successful running of the department

Qualifications
* Educated to HND level in business administration (desired)
Skills
* Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word, and MS Visio or similar
* Report writing and data analysis skills
* Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
* Ability to work proactively
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to operate on own initiative but also work as part of a team
Experience
* Proven experience in a similar role (desired)
