An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed professional to step into the role of Registered Manager at a well-established children's residential home in Wisbech. With a competitive salary ranging from £50,000 to £75,000, this role is ideal for both experienced Registered Managers and ambitious Deputies ready to step up.
£50,000: Suitable for a Deputy Manager ready to progress into a Registered Manager role, with appropriate qualifications and leadership experience.
Up to £75,000: For experienced Registered Managers with a proven track record of delivering high standards in children's residential care.The Role
The Registered Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards. This position offers the chance to lead a team that supports vulnerable children and young people in reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clear leadership and direction to a team of residential childcare professionals.
Maintain and promote the highest standards of safeguarding, child protection, and compliance.
Effectively manage rotas, budgets, reporting, and operational needs.
Build strong working relationships with local authorities, schools, and families.
Create a supportive, high-performance culture that enables both children and staff to thrive.Candidate Requirements:
A minimum of two years' experience in a senior residential childcare role (e.g., Deputy or Senior Practitioner).
In-depth understanding of safeguarding practices and children's home regulations.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to complete within three years).
