About the Role
Reporting to the Stores Manager, the Stores Operative will be responsible for the management of material from receipt through to issue.

What you'll be doing:
* Unloading/loading Vehicles.
* Goods In – Visual inspection and acceptance of incoming material and packaging to ensure consignments are correct as per purchase order and quality requirements.
* Storage of material in accordance with material control and product preservation procedures.
* Inventory movements ensuring system transactions are completed accurately.
* Order picking and delivery of kits to production.
* Picking and packaging of items for dispatch.
* Cycle count inventory to ensure accurate stock status.
* Ensuring externally stored material is suitably covered to prevent contamination.
* Work with Stores Team Leader to improve operating procedures to continuously meet customer expectations.
* Assist in stock take process according to company procedures.
* Comply with regulations and policies in environmental, health and safety and quality.
* Participate in risk assessments and health and safety audits.
* Daily housekeeping of Stores and yard area to ensure areas are clean and tidy.
* Any other duties as required to fulfil role and schedule.
You'll need to have:
* Experience working in a stores environment.
* Well organised and capable of prioritising and multi-tasking, and working to agreed schedules.
* Must be computer literate, experience in the use of MRP systems.
* Self-motivated.
* Flexible approach to the workload.
* Accuracy and attention to detail are essential for the role.
* 3.5 ton forklift driving license.
It would be great if you had:
* 5 ton forklift driving license.
* Banksman Training.
