About The Role:
Location: KT16 8PN
Shift Pattern:5 in 7
To maintain all equipment, infrastructure, and facilities to a high standard, ensuring efficiency, safety, and availability across the site. The role involves delivering timely responses to maintenance requests—proactive, reactive, compliance‑related, and emergency—and minimising downtime of building systems and facilities. You will complete statutory checks, inspections, installations, and remedial works across both air conditioning and electrical systems, contributing to a safe and positive environment for clients, colleagues, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Air Conditioning
* Service, fault‑find, and maintain air conditioning units across a variety of environments.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to AC breakdowns to ensure minimal disruption.
* Complete general Air Conditioning inspections, repairs, and adjustments in line with industry standards.
Electrical Maintenance
* Undertake electrical installations, test & inspections, modifications, and remedial work in accordance with current legislation and safety guidelines.
* Carry out statutory compliance tasks including emergency lighting testing, electrical safety checks, and maintaining accurate documentation.
* Perform minor electrical repairs and support site‑wide electrical troubleshooting as required.
General Facilities Maintenance
* Conduct statutory inspections of assets including fire doors, water temperature checks, lighting systems, and basic plumbing.
* Carry out general reactive maintenance tasks, small repairs, installations, and modifications to maintain building fabric and services.
* Ensure all work is documented accurately and aligns with departmental procedures and HSE guidance.
Skills and Experience
Essential
* City & Guilds AC qualification (e.g., 2379 F‑Gas or equivalent).
* Recognised electrical craft qualification (e.g., electrical apprenticeship, City & Guilds 2350 NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Engineering + AM2).
* City & Guilds 2381‑18 (18th Edition).
* Valid CSCS/Grade Card or equivalent.
* Right to work in the UK.
Desirable
* City & Guilds 2391‑52 Level 3 Award in Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
* Additional AC, HVAC, or FM‑related training.
