Manufacturing Technician
Location: Paisley
Pay Rate: £13.86 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 - 16:00
Overview
Manpower Scotland is recruiting for a Manufacturing Technician to join a busy and highly regulated production environment in Paisley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional to join a fast-paced, high-quality production setting within the biotech sector. You'll play a key role in ensuring daily manufacturing requirements are met and that product quality and performance standards are consistently achieved.
What you'll be doing:
* Manufacturing cell culture media and reagents following strict protocols and SOPs
* Operating semi-automated and automated production equipment
* Carrying out in-process testing to ensure products meet specification
* Troubleshooting process, procedure, and product issues with support when required
* Managing multiple tasks and prioritising workload effectively
* Using IT systems and equipment as part of the manufacturing process
* Supporting continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives
* Following all health, safety, and cleanroom procedures
* Contributing to departmental goals and performance metrics
What we're looking for:
* Previous manufacturing experience (essential)
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a high-throughput manufacturing environment
* Experience in a similar industry is highly desirable
* Strong attention to detail and quality focus
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to take initiative and suggest improvements
* Strong work ethic and positive, professional attitude
* Ability to work accurately in a regulated environment
Working conditions:
* Cleanroom and manufacturing environment
* Standing for long periods during shifts
* Manual handling (up to 25 lbs)
* Working with chemicals and hazardous materials (full training provided)
* Requirement for flexibility and occasional overtime
