The Library is a key academic support department in the University, providing students and staff with flexible, responsive services which underpin teaching, learning and research.
The Library Customer Service Team is responsible for the effective delivery of all front-line services through effective engagement with University students and staff, and external visitors to the Library. You will lead the development and provision of enquiry services through a variety of channels; face to face, telephone, email, live chat and 24/7 service provision. The team manage the overall circulation of print materials and care for the collection, including shelving layout design, re-shelving and stock maintenance. They take day to day oversight of the quality of environment across all the Libraries and Library Learning Lounges. The Customer Service Team promote and support the use of print material, specialist library equipment, and IT resources such as laptops and printers. They are there to support the student through their journey in the library by delivering excellent customer service.
You will work as part of the Customer Services team, based in the University Library. Please note that working hours for this role are Saturday and Sunday 9am - 5pm, term time on alternate weekends and Saturday 10am - 5pm and Sunday 12 noon - 5pm alternate weekends outside of term time.
