Overview
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who is dedicated to working as part of the team. If successful you will be part of a team of research nurses, trial practitioners and administrative staff providing a comprehensive clinical trial/research study support service out of the Trust’s award winning R&D Department.
The role will involve the recruitment, education and monitoring of research participants into various research studies including all specialities and the collection and documentation of accurate data. You will also be a key driver of our recruitment and retention strategies for patients.
As a research nurse, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the care pathways of patients and carers participating in research studies in the Trust’s active research portfolio and ensuring good communication with other members of the R&D Department and East of England Research Delivery Network (RDN).
About the NIHR Clinical Research Network
The NIHR Clinical Research Network is the clinical research delivery arm of the NHS. They operate nationally across England through a national coordinating centre, working collaboratively with Research Delivery networks (RDNs). They provide the infrastructure that allows high quality clinical research to take place in the NHS so that patients can benefit from new and better treatments. The NIHR Clinical Research Network RDN is part of East of England (EoE).
