Job Summary
The role of a MEP Contracts Manager involves overseeing the coordination of MEP services on multiple projects, from pre-construction phases to handover. This includes managing project managers, clients, and commercial aspects, as well as ensuring health and safety standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
* Operationally and commercially responsible for the successful delivery of multiple contracts
* Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained to the highest level
* Taking overall responsibility for constructing projects to a high standard, ensuring compliance with specifications
* Controlling and managing project/site budgets, including profit and loss, and managing budget constraints
* Maximising profit, minimising risk, and protecting commercial interests
* Effectively managing operational and commercial teams
* Overseeing project managers and subcontractors
* Working with the procurement department to manage supply chains and cost-effective purchasing
* Executing programs effectively
* Managing change throughout the construction process
* Ensuring quality and consistency of workmanship across projects
Requirements
* Qualified with HNC or higher in Mechanical Engineering/Building Services Engineering/Electrical Engineering or trade qualified with relevant management experience
* Experience managing multiple projects in the commercial space, with a minimum value of circa £2M MEP
* Experience working on infrastructure/plant packages installation
