A Safety Engineer for a priority role for our client who\'s focus is in the Aerospace, Aviation and Defence engineering sectors, and specifically being based at this testing, development and manufacturing facility in Dorset is being sought. The breadth of coverage provides an exciting opportunity for an individual to develop both systems and safety engineering knowledge. The position is primarily related to Weapons Carriage and Release systems, but will also include work on Air - to - Air Refuelling equipment and probes. The Safety Engineer will work as an integral part of the Product Safety Engineering Team to develop a world class capability in safety interpretation, analysis and compliance. We are looking for a Safety Engineer to join their team. Safety Engineer - your skills and experience should include:Production of safety documentation in line with project requirements and criteriaClose liaison with the Design Team and related engineering disciplines in support of producing System Safety documentation in line with project milestones Administer Hazard Identification and Analysis team meetings Attend project meetings in support of safety Lead and report in meetings with the customers some international travel may be possible To support all stages of lifecycle management relating to development and qualification in the discipline areaThe Safety Engineer desirable attributes:Qualified to degree level of equivalent in a relevant technical subjectExperience in the design and/or equipment for civil and/or military aircraft Knowledge of the safety assessment techniques in SAE ARP 4761, and awareness or experience in MIL - STD - 882, DEF STAN 00 - 56 or FAR/CS 25.1309 Experience in systems engineering principals Knowledge of the following would be beneficial, but is not essential: ARP 4754, RTCA DO - 178/254, MIL - STD - 1629, CSs and FARs Attendance on established safety related courses advantageousThe role of Safety Engineer is of a PRIORITY requirement for our client You must be ITAR compliant and able to attain Security Clearance for this role Please apply in writing with current CV ASAP.
