Job Description
Registered nurse with experience or Newly qualified

1. Day or night shifts available
2. Full-time or Part-time available
3. Nursing Home based in Luton area
4. Pay rate is £18 per hour
5. Paid breaks
We are currently looking to recruit Registered Nurses locally based or someone able to relocate, with a passion for providing exceptional, kind, personalized care that promotes choice, dignity and respect for residents living in an 80-bed facility set on its own grounds just outside the heart of Luton.

Working as an RGN Nurse (Registered General Nurse) means:

6. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, and long term service users.
7. Behave in a professional and discreet manner at all times and in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Code.
8. Be competent and confident in managing people with long term health conditions.
9. Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate interventions/treatments for service users with complex needs.
10. Proactively identify, diagnose and manage treatment plans for service users (as appropriate).
11. Prioritize health problems and intervene appropriately to assist service users in complex,urgent or emergency situations, including initiation of effective emergency care.
12. Recognize and work within your own competence level
13. Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user interaction and consultation, consistent with legislation, policies and procedures.
14. Support, manage and guide support workers on a daily basis.
15. Continual personal development to develop oneself and the role.
16. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
17. Providing direct patient care including wound dressing, bathing, feeding and monitoring vital signs
18. Documenting residents’ health status and maintaining accurate medical records
19. Communicating with residents’ family members and healthcare team about their condition and progress
20. Providing emotional support and therapeutic communication to residents and their families
21. Supervising and training nursing assistants and junior nursing staff
22. Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and infection control
23. Coordinating with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, therapists, and dietitians




Requirements

Skills and attributes necessary:

24. Prior experience as a Registered Nurse is desirable
25. Passionate about delivering great care and supporting the residents and their families
26. Experience working with the elderly
27. Demonstrate an understanding and application of relevant legislation in relation to the role
28. Able to deliver nursing care in a clinical environment
29. Excellent skills and knowledge of the job role
30. Valid NMC UK PIN number without restrictions
31. Proven experience in clinical settings is desirable
32. Ability to communicate well at all levels is essential along with a flexible approach
33. Team player
34. Genuine interest in working within a care home setting.
35. Clear DBS And 2 satisfactory references
36. Up-to-date knowledge in area of practice
37. Awareness of NMC Code of Accountability

Requirements
You must have a valid UK Registered Nurse Qualification (RGN) Active UK NMC PIN Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy and compassion towards patients. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Attention to detail and accuracy in patient care. Willingness to continuously learn and improve clinical skills. An RGN or RMN, with experience in a care home setting caring for older people. You will have a kind and caring approach with a passion for delivering the highest possible standard of care and support for the residents. You will have excellent communication skills Clear DBS And 2 satisfactory references
