Our client, a Council based in Central Southern England, is currently recruiting for a Category Officer on a temporary contract. The Council offer a great hybrid working model, with office presence once monthly. The position is due to start ASAP on a full-time basis ( 37 hours /week). The hourly rate is £27.96 via an umbrella company. The ideal candidate will have experience working within the Childrens Services or Education categories of a council. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Undertaking full delivery of key procurement and contracts management within Childrens Services Supporting effective decision making in relation to the procurement of goof and services from supplier Building effective working relationships, relating to level 2 category spend across the Council Working with Commissioners and Officers across the Council to deliver procurement and contract management activities specific to level 2 spend Using eTendering systems and procurement planning system to ensure procurement pipeline, tender management and contracts records are effectively up-to-date Experience required: Experience required in Childrens Services category MCIPS level 4 is desired Rewards and benefits: Hybrid working Flexible core hours (8am-6pm) Working hours : 37 hours per week Monday - Friday Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
