Senior Electrical Supervisor
We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified Senior Electrical Supervisor to join our team in Aberdeen. This role is ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys working both hands-on and in a leadership capacity. You will oversee electrical works across multiple sites throughout Scotland while providing day-to-day supervision, support, and development for a team of four Field Technicians.
This position plays a key role in ensuring all electrical work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate electrical installations, maintenance, testing, and inspection activities across various client sites in Scotland.
* Provide on-site supervision, guidance, and technical support to 4 Field Technicians, ensuring high performance and professional development.
* Plan and allocate workload, monitor progress, and ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
* Conduct quality checks and ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and company procedures.
* Serve as the senior point of contact on site, liaising with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
* Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide expert solutions.
* Ensure all safety protocols and risk assessments are followed; champion a strong safety culture within the team.
* Maintain accurate documentation, including testing certificates, reports, and site records.
* Assist the Operations/Project Manager with scheduling, resource planning, and project reporting.
* Support training, mentoring, and performance reviews for Field Technicians.
Skills & Competencies
* Fully qualified electrician with SJIB Grading, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent recognised electrical qualification.
* Proven experience in electrical installation, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding.
* Prior supervisory or team-lead experience is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of Scottish electrical regulations and safety standards.
* Full UK driving licence (regular travel required).
* Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, installations, and commissioning processes.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
