CNC Operator
Location: Erith
Hours: Monday to Thursday 12pm - 10pm
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum
We are looking for experienced CNC Operators to join a growing team. This is a hands-on role working primarily with metal components on 3 or 4 axis CNC machines. The role requires technical ability, attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines and perform first offs, checking dimensional quality and adjusting machine settings as required.
Set up and operate manual machining equipment, including milling, turning, grinding, and marking processes.
Maintain production targets while ensuring work is completed right-first-time.
Follow engineering drawings and comply with quality systems.
Identify and resolve technical problems proactively.
Use hand tools such as files, grinders, drills, and riveting tools.
Required Skills:
Proven CNC experience (3 or 4 axis) with metal components - candidates with experience in wood, glass, or plastic will not be considered.
Ability to read engineering drawings and understand geometric tolerances.
Strong attention to detail and mechanical dexterity.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems.
Good numeracy, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Physically able to carry out manual handling tasks.
Desirable Skills:
Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence.
Cylindrical and surface grinding experience.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
