Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) – Newcastle or Remote
Vita Health Group is the lead provider of NHS Talking Therapies in the Newcastle footprint, providing vital mental health support to clients aged 16+. We focus on staff wellbeing, flexible and creative approaches to work, quality supervision, CPD, and opportunities for PWPs to take on leadership roles and training.
Job responsibilities
As a qualified PWP, you will assess the suitability of new referrals through telephone assessments and provide short-term, low-intensity interventions via telephone, online webinars, and computerised CBT (cCBT). You will work closely with colleagues at Steps 3 and 4, and external services, to support safe onward referrals and step-ups, while maintaining patient dignity, confidentiality and inclusivity.
Responsibilities also include championing patient care, clinical excellence, and service development, and contributing to service development and improvement as part of a supportive team.
Getting to know You / Qualifications
* A Graduate/Postgraduate Certificate (PGCert) in Low Intensity Interventions (Adults)
* BABCP or BPS registration or pending registration (if returning to practice, and not sure how to meet registration requirements, we are happy to discuss prior to interview)
* Experience of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem
* We welcome applications from newly qualified PWPs and those able to work locally in Newcastle or remotely
