Over the past 25 years Taiko has launched more first to market Sushi and Food to Go products than any other sushi manufacturer in the UK. As Group Reporting Accountant (UK/EU), you are responsible for supporting accurate and compliant financial reporting across the group. You will help maintain the integrity of group reporting systems, assist in ensuring alignment between local ledgers and the group consolidation tool. You will support the external audit process, contribute to technical accounting matters, and help implement improvements to financial controls, reporting systems, and policies. You’ll also assist with ERP and Anaplan developments and take part in finance transformation and ad hoc projects as required. Group Financial Reporting: • Validate reporting and statutory financial information, including local divisional ledgers, group reporting, statutory accounts, and consolidation systems to ensure consistency and identify unposted adjustments. • Perform timely reconciliation and validation of group trial balances across NAV, QuickBooks, Business Central, and Anaplan. • Provide technical accounting support across FRS 102, IFRS, and other frameworks as needed. Assist in preparing technical accounting memos and documentation to support key judgments or new transactions. Financial Control & Compliance: • Develop and maintain group finance/accounting policy, and support the ongoing rollout, in line with applicable accounting standards. • Assist in the reimplementation and training of reconciliation tools (e.g. Adra). • Help define standard monthly reporting formats within Anaplan and reconcile Anaplan trial balances with statutory accounts and external reporting. • Support the development of internal finance guidance and training material for divisional teams. • Contribute to establishing a risk-based balance sheet review process and financial control enhancements. Financial Systems Support: • Support on ad hoc accounting queries identified in new transformation initiatives within the business. • Contribute to financial reporting enhancements driven by system or policy changes, such as lease accounting implementation. Statutory Audit & Compliance: • Support group and local teams as required in efficient delivery of audit requests and deliverables. • Collaborate with finance teams to implement remediation plans in response to audit findings, where necessary. • Assist with the submission of high-quality statutory accounts for submission to Companies House. Ad Hoc Projects: • Support the Group Reporting Manager & Group Reporting Director with special projects, reviews, and one-off reporting or transformation initiatives.
