Media Teacher (ECT or QTS)
We are working with a well-regarded secondary school in Dagenham who are seeking a Media Teacher (ECT or experienced QTS) to join their team on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent.
This is an excellent opportunity for a creative and committed teacher who is confident delivering Media Studies across KS4 and KS5, and who is looking to make a real impact in a supportive but ambitious department.
The school has a strong focus on high expectations, behaviour consistency and student engagement, with a particular emphasis on preparing learners for creative industry pathways, further education and university progression.
The Role
Deliver engaging and well-structured Media Studies lessons across KS4 and KS5
Plan, prepare and assess in line with exam board specifications
Support students in developing practical and theoretical media skills
Contribute to a positive, consistent and well-managed classroom environment
Work collaboratively within a supportive Creative Arts / Humanities team
Track progress and support students to achieve strong outcomes in exams and coursework
The Ideal Candidate
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
Strong subject knowledge in Media Studies / Creative Media
Confident classroom practitioner with good behaviour management
Able to engage students across a range of abilities and backgrounds
Passionate about creative education and student progression
Comfortable working within a structured, high-expectation environment
