About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, proactiveHousehold Waste Recycling Advisorto join our team at a busy recycling centre. In this customer-facing role, you will support members of the public with safe and efficient disposal of their household waste while helping maintain a clean, organised and environmentally responsible site.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service to visitors using the recycling centre
* Travel between recycling centre sites (Driving licence required)
* Advise residents on correct waste disposal and recycling procedures
* Assist customers in directing materials to the correct containers
* Maintain site cleanliness, tidiness and safety at all times
* Monitor recycling bays and ensure waste is segregated correctly
* Support the safe movement of vehicles and visitors around the site
* Report contamination, hazards or issues to site management
* Assist with general site duties, including light manual handling
Requirements
* Must have a driving licence and your own transport
* Friendly and confident when dealing with the public
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude
* Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
* Ability to follow health and safety procedures
* Reliable, punctual and a strong team player
* Previous waste, recycling, customer service or outdoor labour experience
