ASR International is working exclusively with a highly respected manufacturer of decorative interior finishes to recruit a Business Development Manager. This role is a key strategic hire to help drive growth across the London commercial and hospitality market, while also nurturing key account relationships already in place.

Our client is a well-established name in the interior finishes sector, known for producing high-quality solutions for use in hotels, restaurants, offices, public buildings, and other non-residential environments. With strong brand recognition both in the UK and internationally, the company is now entering a period of targeted commercial expansion.
Backed by in-house design and manufacturing teams, the business delivers both bespoke and standard ranges with a strong emphasis on service, sustainability, and innovation.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for a driven and well-connected business development professional with experience in commercial interior products to take ownership of London and the Southeast region. You’ll be responsible for developing new business across the A&D community, contractors, and end users, while also managing a small group of existing key accounts.
This is a field-based, client-facing role with autonomy, backed by a supportive leadership team and in-house resources to help you win and deliver large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and develop new project opportunities across commercial and hospitality interiors (no residential).
* Build relationships with architects, interior designers, contractors, and project specifiers.
* Managed and grew key account relationships, ensuring ongoing project success and client satisfaction.
* Promote the full range of offerings and finishes, offering tailored solutions to meet project needs.
* Work collaboratively with design, technical, and production teams to deliver bespoke solutions.
* Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to build visibility and a pipeline.
* Provide market feedback to help shape product development and strategic direction.
* Travel across London and the Southeast, with occasional overseas visits (e.g., US market presence).
Experience & Background
* Minimum 5 years of experience in a specification or business development role.
* Strong background in commercial interiors, ideally with surface finishes, textiles, or architectural products.
* Well-networked across the Specification, A&D and contractor landscape, particularly in London.
* Experience selling into hospitality, workplace, or public space projects.
* Demonstrable success in managing project-based sales cycles and securing long-term client partnerships.
Skills & Attributes
Commercially astute and target-driven with a consultative sales approach.
Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills.
Self-motivated and well organised; able to manage time and pipeline independently.
Resilient, resourceful, and driven to succeed in a competitive, design-led industry.
