Specialist Breast Care Nurse | Outpatients | Private Hospital | Permanent, Part-time | Horley, West Sussex
Spire Gatwick Park Hospital are looking for an experienced Specialist Breast Care Nurse to work in Outpatients. To provide exemplary planned care for breast care patients with an understanding of private sector pathways. You will also be supporting patients in Wards/Day care and theatres for operating days.

Duties and responsibilities
1. Develop practice in the assessment of health and well-being needs.
2. Develop practice in addressing individual’s health and well-being needs.
3. Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information.
4. Develop own knowledge and practice
5. Develops a working environment and culture that actively improves health, safety and security.
6. Support and enable equality, diversity and rights.
7. Plan, monitor and quality assure the application of technology for measurement, monitoring and treatment.
8. Acknowledge the risk of Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) and understand own responsibility as agreed with line manager in the prevention and control of HCAI.
Who we're looking for:
9. Relevant Diploma or Degree in Nursing
10. NMC Registration
11. Experienced BCN with an understanding of private sector pathways is essential
12. Working as a practitioner in and across multi-disciplinary teams
13. Critically applying the knowledge and skills gained in own Speciality
14. Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
15. Challenging consultants to influence evidence based practice
16. Experience of working in partnership with consultants
Contract: Permanent, Part-time
Hours: 22.5 hours flexible during weekdays. Clinics are Mondays, Thursdays (possibly Wednesdays) supporting patients in Wards/Day care and theatres for operating days.
