Paediatric Dietitian Position
Exciting vacancy for an enthusiastic and well‑motivated Paediatric Dietitian to join our team of dietitians within the University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay.
The successful applicant will work alongside an experienced multi‑disciplinary team of Paediatricians, Nurses, Dietitians and Therapists who are responsible for providing a service across social and health care boundaries.
The post covers both inpatient and outpatient work and provides experience across a wide range of clinical areas including nutrition support, enteral feeding, gastroenterology, food allergies and feeding problems.
The department is approved for training student dietitians. The role involves supporting junior staff within the wider Dietetic team, contributing to the learning and development of MDT colleagues, and updating protocols and resources.

Responsibilities
* Provide specialist paediatric dietetic care, managing a caseload of patients with complex conditions.
* Work independently as an autonomous practitioner, providing flexible and patient‑centred care.
* Advise and support staff on managing complex paediatric clinical issues for the Dietetic site service and at other Dietetic sites as required.
* Support the implementation of service improvement and developments within the Trust Paediatric Dietetic service.
* Undertake clinical and department support duties.
* Take responsibility for own caseload without direct supervision while developing specialist clinical skills per the Performance and Development Plan.
Qualifications
Approved for training student dietitians; specialist knowledge in paediatric nutrition, enteral feeding, gastroenterology, food allergies, and feeding problems.
