About the Role
We are looking for qualified or soon‑to‑qualify radiographers to join Aintree University Hospital, part of the Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The role offers a comprehensive preceptorship programme for newly qualified radiographers, supporting the transition from student to band 5. You will gain experience in all aspects of general radiography and will be required to work a rotational shift basis that includes days, nights and weekends.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform imaging examinations in line with departmental operational procedures and policies, producing high‑quality diagnostic images.
* Work across multiple areas such as A&E, in‑patients, outpatients, GP, theatre and mobile imaging.
* Participate in the full shift rota that delivers a 24‑hour radiography service 365 days per year, including long day shifts, night shifts and an 8‑hour day shift, plus a second on‑call rota.
* Engage in educational rotation opportunities in Fluoroscopy and Interventional Radiology, receiving initial training to complete cases independently.
* Support the development of an NG tube reporting service and contribute radiographer commenting for trauma imaging; join a growing team of reporting radiographers for MSK, chest and abdomen examinations.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Current HCPC registration.
* Recent clinical experience within an NHS environment, or if a student radiographer, current clinical experience in an NHS setting.
* Ability and willingness to work rotational shifts, including on weekends and nights.
