Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Podiatrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality foot and ankle care, demonstrating exceptional communication skills and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages. This role involves diagnosing and treating a variety of podiatric conditions, as well as educating patients on foot health and preventive care.
Responsibilities
* Conduct thorough examinations of patients' feet, ankles, and lower extremities to diagnose conditions.
* Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
* Perform surgical procedures when necessary, including corrective surgeries for foot deformities.
* Prescribe medications and provide guidance on proper footwear and orthotic devices.
* Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
* Educate patients on foot care practices, preventive measures, and overall health maintenance.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Stay updated on advancements in podiatric medicine through continuous professional development.
Qualifications
* A recognised degree in Podiatry or equivalent qualification.
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is essential.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
* Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining patient records and documentation.
* Experience or interest in teaching is advantageous, as the role may involve educating students or junior staff members.
