To provide supervision of external contractors on Highways projects and programmes, supporting the engineering staff for the delivery of a wide range of asset maintenance and complex transport related civil engineering projects. The post holder will also be required to: Make Engineering decisions on required additional work in absence of an Engineer, taking account of and providing justification of cost, time and disruption implications. Keep record in a site-based diary of all site activities, deliveries, weather conditions and personnel on site (including Statutory Undertakers and other Service Units), and, when work is undertaken on a Daywork basis, to record details of plant, labour and materials used to inform of financial implications.
