OUR IDEAL HERO WILL HAVE -
•NVQ Level 2 or above in Sports Turf Management - desirable but not essential
•Experience in using a wide range of horticultural equipment
•Previous experience of working on a golf course or sportsground - desirable but not essential
•An awareness of the physical demands of the role
•The ability to work as part of a team
IMPLEMENTING OUR ‘YES, WE CAN’ PHILOSOPHY, YOU WILL -
•Assist in the implementation of maintenance and development of golf courses and associated areas
•Safely operate and carry out tasks utilising such equipment as mowers (both pedestrian and ride on), tractors and implements, utility vehicles and other miscellaneous equipment
•Support the implementing of changes to ensure continuous innovations and improvements are made within the department
•Ensure that resources are used effectively, minimising waste to protect our environment and to reduce costs
•Be responsible for stock and the care and control of all professional equipment within your working environment
