Overview
An environment where you will be an integral member of the Facilities Maintenance Team, responsible for all aspects of maintaining buildings and ancillary equipment critical for the day-to-day operations of the factory. You will work with and support the site maintenance engineering teams, the production teams, and the Capital Investment Project team to ensure smooth site operation and assist with continuous improvement initiatives. You will also work closely with Capital Investment Project Teams to stay up to date with new equipment and facilities being procured and installed to help make the vision of a future factory a sustainable reality.
As a key member of the Facilities Maintenance Team, you will be responsible for ensuring optimum availability levels (particularly from an electrical perspective) on all equipment and processes.
Role and Responsibilities
* Support and collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance Team, site maintenance engineering, production, and Capital Investment Project teams to maintain operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain electrical and ancillary facilities equipment to achieve optimum availability and reliability across all processes.
* Engage with Capital Investment Project teams to stay informed about new equipment and facilities being procured and installed, contributing to the implementation of the future factory vision.
* Provide fault finding, repairs and upgrades where possible, following electrical installation standards and CMMS-based maintenance programs.
* Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels from shop-floor to Director level and manage contractors safely, firmly, and fairly when on-site.
Qualifications
* Thorough understanding of ancillary (facilities-type) electrical equipment, maintenance techniques, and standards required to confidently carry out fault finding, repairs and upgrades.
* Ability to stay calm and think rationally under pressure in a live production environment.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders across all levels.
* Knowledge and experience of electrical installation standards, facilities equipment, and working with a CMMS-based facilities maintenance program.
