 
        
        Mid-Market Account Manager – TPI Sales

Location: Leicester/Remote
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week
Job Summary
Operating within the highly competitive Mid-Market sector, the focus of the role is to acquire, manage and renew existing supply contracts, with a key emphasis on developing processes & initiatives to deliver long‑term relationships. You will support and manage the growing B2B (SME+Mid‑Market) energy portfolio, ensuring volume, margin and meters targets are met. You will manage your own TPI’s and associated targets, report and work closely with the Sales Management Team and deliver first‑class service to customers.
Responsibilities
 * Prospect and identify new business opportunities to exceed acquisition sales targets.
 * Own relationships with key customers, ensuring all account aspects meet expectations.
 * Identify and drive internal improvements to the customer proposition and delivery.
 * Collaborate with the Commercial Team to assess risk, credit and commerciality of deals.
 * Deliver personal sales targets and manage renewal portfolio to maximise retention and revenue.
 * Negotiate gas and electricity supply contracts within delegated authority levels.
 * Develop and manage new and existing TPI partnerships to increase revenue through the channel.
 * Apply key account management processes with Customer Operations.
 * Produce bespoke sales quotations and tenders for TPIs and process all contracts.
 * Support and manage key account tenders for new and existing business.
 * Communicate with the TPI BDM to improve conversion rates.
 * Participate in sales structure efficiencies and promote a first‑time right approach.
 * Monitor and report competitor/TPI activity.
Qualifications
 * IT literate.
 * Degree level preferred – minimum 2 years new business development experience in B2B.
 * Proven ability to manage long‑term relationships.
 * Experience and knowledge of the business energy sector desirable.
 * Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and closing sales skills.
 * Ambitious, self‑motivated, able to manage high workloads and prioritise.
 * Strong planning, organisational and emotional resilience.
 * High level of relevant industry experience essential.
